Noelle has substantial Art Therapy experience with clients of all ages in numerous settings such as primary and secondary schools, Special Education settings, hospitals, Primary Care, as well as in private practice. Noelle has a lengthy background in teaching which gives her valuable insight into the workings of school environments, their benefits and challenges at varied developmental levels.
Noelle has a keen interest in research and has published work on the efficacy of the use of Art Therapy in schools – Art Therapy and Dramatherapy in the Primary School (2009). Noelle has also carried out in-depth research into bullying among adolescents (2020) as part of her research thesis.
Noelle also believes that liaising closely with parents and guardians is an important part of the therapeutic process when working with children and young people. She takes a relaxed, professional and person-centred approach in sessions. Clients have availability of art materials such as paint, clay, collage and also natural materials including shells, sand and woods are available for use in sessions.
