Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The IACP identifies, develops and maintains professional standards of excellence in Counselling and Psychotherapy in Ireland. The IACP provides information, and sets/maintains practice and training standards through a comprehensive Code of Ethics and Practice.

The Eating Disorder Association of Ireland

Bodywhys ensures support, awareness and understanding of eating disorder amongst the wide community as well as advocating for the rights and healthcare needs of people affected by eating disorder.

Pieta

Pieta provides a range of services (free of charge) to individuals who experience suicidal ideation, are engaging in self-harm, or are bereaved by suicide. Pieta supports people and communities in crisis by providing freely accessible, professional services to all.

Therapeutic Crisis Intervention

Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) is a crisis prevention and intervention system. It aims to equip organisations and their staff to work together in a way that prevents crisis. TCI Ireland is an alliance of Professionally Certified TCI Trainers and Instructors in Ireland.

Aware

Aware undertakes to create a society where people affected by stress, depression, bipolar disorder and mood related conditions are understood, supported, free from stigma, and are encouraged to access appropriate therapies.

Samaritans

We’re here every day and night of the year for anyone struggling to cope. We make sure people have somewhere to turn and support when they need it most. We work with communities to let people know we’re here for them and we campaign to make suicide prevention a priority.

Alcoholics Anonymous

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.

Teenline

The ISPCC operates Teenline, a national active listening service for children and young people up to the age of 18 in Ireland. Teenline can be contacted 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service is free to contact and is confidential, non-directive and non-judgmental.

Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy

The Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy represents Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapists in Ireland. The IAHIP maintains a register of all accredited practitioners and supervisors and promotes the provision of training and education in humanistic and integrative psychotherapy.

SpunOut

SpunOut aims to help create an Ireland where young people aged between 16 and 25 are empowered with the information they need to live active, happy, and healthy lives. We focus on the importance of holistic wellbeing and how good health can be maintained, both physically and mentally.

Irish Association of Creative Arts Therapists

iacat is the accrediting body of creative arts therapists in Ireland and oversees the development and training of single modality MA courses in Art therapy, Dance Movement therapy, Dramatherapy and Music therapy.

Womens Aid

Women's Aid works to make women and children safe from domestic violence, offer support, provide hope to women affected by abuse and work for justice and social change. The Women's Aid Helpline is the only free, national, domestic violence helpline with specialised trained staff, fully accredited by The Helplines Association and with a Telephone Interpretation Service facility covering 170 languages for callers needing interpreting services.

Childline

Childline, part of the ISPCC (The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children), provides support services for for all children and young people up to the age of 18 in Ireland.
