Annette Williams

MIACP | Preferred pronouns: She/Her

Annette provides a supportive space for every client filled with compassion and curiosity, allowing people to explore their lives in a way that is safe and rewarding. She brings people to a deeper understanding of their own minds and the situations which cause difficulty with mental health, past and present. This exploration helps people find balance and well-being in their mental health, and ultimately in their lives.

Annette encourages people to become more reflective and aware of their experiencing, that is, how their needs, responses, thoughts, emotions and body reactions relate to each other. Her skill and guidance in this area brings deeper healing to distressing emotional patterns, allowing growth of wellbeing which is particularly useful in trauma work and long term mental health recovery. This allows for a more integrated way to achieve a mentally healthy life.

Annette has also done extensive study and training in working with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma Studies (PTSD, Sexual Trauma, Attachment trauma, Complex Trauma), Human Development and the Neuroscience that underlies Mental Health and Psychotherapy.

She is also skilled at training others in Counselling & Psychotherapy Practice, Therapeutic Mindfulness and the Creative approaches to Psychotherapy. She has formerly worked in the Counselling and Psychotherapy training sector and is particularly suited to working with trainees in the field.
