Gillian received an Honours Diploma in Body Massage in 2010 and in 2014 completed a three-year Practitionership in Shiatsu Body Therapy with Shiatsu College Dublin.
In 2016 she completed a comprehensive Post-Graduate Diploma in Shiatsu for Pregnancy, Labour and the Post-Partum Period in the U.K., which helped support her through her own pregnancy and birthing experience as well as her clients’. She has since completed training in Shiatsu for Womens’ Cycles, from Menstruation to Peri-Menopause and beyond, as well as treatments for Long Covid, to name a few.
Gillian has facilitated Mam 2 Mam Breastfeeding Support Groups in her locality and offers regular workshops in Baby Massage, Shiatsu for pregnancy and labour and Self-Shiatsu for home use.
Her work is trauma informed and she provides a safe space for her clients to relax and gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their body and their energetic system, so that they can increase their sense of wellness and experience of resilience.
She brings a flavour of her personal experience of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy, Hakomi Mindfulness Based Self-Study, Embodied Dance and Mindful Self Compassion.
Over the years she has worked with a wide range of people and conditions, including people with complex needs.
She continues to learn and deepen her Shiatsu and Massage practice. Her service is completely confidential.
