Sarah Ruane

MIAHIP, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP)
Sarah is an experienced Trauma Informed Psychotherapist, who has been working in private practice since 2006.

She has a Professional Diploma in General and Addiction Counselling from the Liberties College, Dublin and a certificate in Bodywork Psychotherapy.  As well as a Certificate in Gestalt Psychotherapy and extensive training in Meditation and Mindfulness practices.

She has also completed a three-year intensive training on Somatic Experiencing, which is a body-oriented approach to healing trauma through the body and the nervous system. Somatic Experiencing was developed by Dr Peter Levine in the 1970s, one of the world's renowned leading trauma experts.

Sarah aims to create a kind and safe space for you to come back in touch with your whole selves, body and mind, at a pace that works for each person to enable a deeper sense of ease and general wellbeing in your mind and body.

Sarah is fully accredited with the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) as well as Tairseach, the Association of Somatic Experiencing Practitioners Ireland.
